Health and Safety Policy

Purpose
This policy demonstrates Two Men and a Truck’s commitment to providing a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (2004). 


Scope

This policy covers all staff and contractors employed by Two Men and a Truck as well as customers who are present when a removal is taking place.


Policy Statement

Two Men and a Truck is committed to providing staff, contractors and customers with a healthy and safe work environment.


This will be achieved by:

- Implementing and maintaining a training program so all staff are adequately trained;

- Setting measurable objectives and targets aimed at controlling risk and increasing awareness of health and safety;

- Ensuring all equipment is maintained and in safe working order at all times;

- Encouraging staff and contractors to undertake ongoing training to improve their skills and safe working practices.


Our principal goal is to improve health and safety and to eliminate injuries in the workplace. This policy is supported by the Occupational Health and Safety Manual.


Responsibility

All staff and contractors share responsibility for Occupational Health and Safety.Head office staff will maintain an overview of Health and Safety procedures, updating the Occupational Health and Safety Manual as and when required. All staff and contractors are to ensure safe working practices are followed at all times. If a safety issue is identified, it is to be brought to the attention of the team leader and head office immediately.
